Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced sales professional to drive new business development in the RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) and IBD (Independent Broker-Dealer) markets. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, established relationships, and a proven track record of closing enterprise deals in the wealth management space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the wealth advisory market through strategic prospecting and networking
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at RIAs, IBDs, and potential partner organizations
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations that effectively communicate our compliance solutions’ value proposition
  • Execute the full sales cycle from prospect identification through closing
  • Maintain detailed pipeline management and activity tracking in our CRM system
  • Represent Smartria at industry conferences and events
  • Collaborate with the Chief Revenue Officer and cross-functional teams to refine sales strategies and ensure client success

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of successful sales experience in the RIA and IBD industry
  • Comprehensive understanding of wealth advisory operations and technology infrastructure
  • Established network of industry contacts and decision-makers
  • Demonstrated proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management
  • Excellence in relationship building and consultative selling
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Willingness to travel for conferences and key client meetings (approximately 15-20%)

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in wealth management compliance technology
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets in B2B software sales
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting RIAs and IBDs
